Meet the Coach

Just4Keepers UAE welcomes Andy Woodcock for the J4K Spring Camp in March.

Name: Andy Woodcock

Age: 36

Nationality: British

Favourite Team: Arsenal

Andy has been the Regional Director of J4K South East in the UK for over 10 years, and currently has coaches 300 students per week throughout Kent and East Sussex.

Andy started his coaching career working with a number of local youth teams in the area, before being given a chance to coach at then Championship side Gillingham F.C working with the u16 Academy side. Here, Andy was also appointed the Centre of Excellence Goalkeeper Coach.

In 2010, Andy left his role at Gillingham to take up the position of Goalkeeping Coach for the academy at Chelsea F.C, whilst continuing to grow J4K throughout the South East.

Andy’s reputation locally as one of the top coaches in the area, and the opportunities that J4K students get through J4K and Andy’s partnership with local academy Total Sports Coaching, has seen over 25 of Andy’s goalkeepers play for professional clubs, including 1 goalkeeper who has signed a professional contract at Southend United.

This work by Andy has taken him back to Gillingham F.C, where he is now recognised as the Chief Academy Goalkeeping Scout.

He believes that if you want to develop as a keeper you need to attend an academy that focusses on all aspects of goalkeeping in a fun and friendly environment. But also one that follows a structured programme which will bring out the best in each and every keeper!

Andy will arrive in Dubai on the 25th of March and will be working with J4K Goalkeepers in the UAE throughout his stay.
